Roof Rack and Snorkel

23 Nov 2025

Update photo

Needed a rack to transport our Oztent RV5 for a trip from Knysna, to VanderKloof, to KZN.
Snorkel installed for obvious reasons. Also sounds cool

Comments

Nice, I also run the RV5, such a great setup!

Thanks Chris, what mattresses do you use in your RV5? I'm looking for a better option than the inflatable matresses.

We were trying the stretcher + foam mattress set up but I found it was quite bulky and took up a lot of packing space so I recently got a set of Carma Quip self inflating mattresses which we used on a recent 5 day trip and can highly recommend them based on that experience: https://carmaquip.co.za/ They are almost like a hybrid between a foam mattress and a self inflating mattress and I've been impressed with the quality.

Thanks, will check them out. appreciate the info
