Gaia Off-grid Campsite

About this campsite

Eight off-grid stands along the Breede River, all with a view of the water. Four keyhole fire pits sit along the embankment. Off-grid means off-grid. No electricity, no plug points, nothing to charge from. Bring your own power banks, lighting and everything else you need. That is worth planning around rather than discovering on arrival. The stands are grouped near the fire pit and braai area, the jungle gym, a double sink and the ablutions. Ablutions are two hot showers and two compost toilets, with more available at the glampsite a short walk away. River access is straightforward, whether you are swimming, sitting or fishing. Read this part before you book: the stands are compact and best suited to small and medium caravans and trailers. Bigger vans may struggle to get back up the hill on the way out. If that is you, the farm has a dedicated caravan site at the top called Sanctuary Rest. Pets are welcome, subject to their pet policy.
