+/- 5000km trip around SA

Hi all
I am based in Durban and i am planning a trip in December to early January, I want to travel through golden gates to Clarens and then head across to the west coast and down to the cape where I would like to stay a couple of days. From there I will be traveling along the garden route back to Durban so I was just asking for recommendations on some camp spots along the way. The hidden little gems if you know what I mean. Any comment would be greatly appreciated. Ta.
