We Hit 1000 Members, So We're Giving Away a Dometic CFX5

A thousand people have now signed up to OVRLNDR. Builds uploaded, campsites reviewed, gear bought and sold, questions answered in the forum. That is a proper community, and it happened faster than we expected.

So we're marking it the only way that makes sense: by giving one of you a serious piece of kit.

We've partnered with Front Runner Dometic to give away a Dometic CFX5 55L portable fridge/freezer with a matching canvas cover. Total value is roughly R13,854.

The prize

• One (1) Dometic CFX5 55L portable fridge/freezer
• One (1) Dometic compatible canvas cover

The CFX5 55L is the fridge most people end up buying eventually. It runs off 12/24V DC or 240V AC, holds around 55 litres, and will freeze in ambient heat that kills lesser units. The canvas cover keeps the insulation working harder and protects the housing from the knocks that come with a loaded pack.

The prize is not transferable, not exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.

Bonus entry

You can pick up an extra entry by:

• Sharing the competition Reel to your Instagram Story and tagging @ovrlndr before the competition closes. The tag has to land, so check it went through.
• Being an OVRLNDR Expedition member at the time the competition launches, or signing up or upgrading to Expedition during the competition period.

How the winner is picked

Once entries close, we compile every entry and verify it against the requirements above. One winner is then drawn at random from the pool of valid entries using an independently generated random selection process.

We'll contact the winner by Instagram DM within seven days of the competition closing. If we can't reach you, or you don't respond within five days, we draw a replacement winner. So keep an eye on your message requests.

Full terms and conditions

1. Promoter: This promotional competition is organised by OVRLNDR ("the Promoter") in collaboration with Front Runner Dometic.

2. Competition period: The competition opens on 20 July 2026 and closes at 23:59 SAST on 30 July 2026. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

3. Eligibility: The competition is open to South African residents aged 18 years or older. Employees, directors and immediate family members of OVRLNDR, Front Runner Dometic and any agencies involved in the promotion are not eligible to enter.

4. How to enter: To qualify for entry, participants must:

• Follow @ovrlndr.co.za on Instagram.
• Follow @frontrunnerza on Instagram.
• Create a free OVRLNDR account at www.ovrlndr.co.za during the competition period.

5. Bonus entry: Participants may receive one (1) additional entry by:

• Sharing the official competition Reel to their Instagram Story and tagging @ovrlndr before the competition closes. Only Story shares that successfully tag @ovrlndr during the competition period will qualify.
• Being an OVRLNDR Expedition member at the time the competition launches.
• Signing up for or upgrading to an OVRLNDR Expedition membership during the competition period.

6. Prize: One winner will receive one (1) Dometic CFX5 55L portable fridge/freezer and one (1) Dometic compatible canvas cover. Total prize value: approximately R13,854. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.

7. Winner selection: At the close of the competition, all valid entries will be compiled and verified against the competition entry requirements. One winner will then be selected at random from the pool of valid entries using an independently generated random selection process. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. Winner verification: The Promoter reserves the right to verify Instagram follows, website registration, and bonus Story entry where applicable. Failure to meet the entry requirements may result in disqualification and an alternative winner being selected.

9. Winner notification: The winner will be contacted via Instagram direct message within seven (7) days of the competition closing. If the winner cannot be contacted or fails to respond within five (5) days, the Promoter reserves the right to select a replacement winner.

10. Publicity: By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the competition. This may include photographs, video footage and social media content documenting the prize handover and related promotional activities. The winner grants OVRLNDR and Front Runner Dometic permission to use this content for marketing, promotional and editorial purposes across their digital platforms and marketing channels without additional compensation.

11. General: The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition should circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of fraudulent activity, providing false information or attempting to manipulate the competition. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram.

12. Privacy: Any personal information collected during the competition will be used solely for administering the competition, verifying entries and communicating with the winner. Information will be processed in accordance with applicable South African privacy legislation.
